Although these stereotypes can only be placed upon groups by ‘outsider’ peoples points of view. This is because the outsider does not know if the people in the two groups are putting on an act, or if they really belong there. There isn’t really such a thing as individuals, but there is such thing as an individual. An individual is one person, a group of individuals is lots of one persons. ‘One persons’ doesn’t make sense, that’s why there’s no such thing. If there are lots of one persons they are all conforming to being one great big person, that would then mean they’re being individual conformists.Â

(Yes, I know Australian Idol wasn’t around when Elvis was, it’s a NON-NATUALISTIC performance). Each of us is then some sort of great star as we all eventually win Australian Idol and we realise that we are now no longer individuals because we are all stars.

Hello all who actually read these.
Who does read these? I think the only one is Clarry, good on ya Clarry. Anyway, I had a fantabulous sleep last night, 12 HOURS!!! How good am I? Oh Yeah!
So what ideas have I formulated in my brain? None really, I’m just enjoying having holidays!
Our group came up with some pretty groovy ideas on friday with each of us being different sterio types (haha sterio has two meanings (the music one, and the person one (but I don’t know what a sterio type in music means (I guess you have different sorts of sterios)))). We were all singing a different song, I still don’t remember what my song was, it was something to do with the sky being blue and green??? I think that when we perform to the audience we should turn to face the audience and then go into a freeze position facing our mirror because I don’t think the audience can really see Ashley and I when we sing towards the mirror (blocks). Oh yeah, we got blocks (3 purple and 1 blue) that are awesome. I unzipped mine and took the cover off, the others in my group weren’t very fond of that idea, but we found that three of the colours on the inside were all different to the other one. I think we could have something where the purple blocks are bullying the blue block and then it goes, but deep down inside, the roles are reversed. We talked a bit about elvis, he still exists today - my sister learnt how to play rock around the clock on the piano in music a few days ago. It’s a pretty catchy song, I guess he influenced the catchy music that they have on adds these days. There is a very big trend in music these days, it always seems to have a strong bass rhythm or drum beat.
Ever heard of Rockers and Mods? or Bodgies and Widgies? They are the people of the 50’s who specialise in violence and rock & roll music (or is it roll & rock?). They’re Australian, the widgies are the females and the bodgies are the males. Well this is only a general idea of them, I’m going to research them further. I found out a bit about the skin heads in the 60’s, and sharpies in the 60’s or 70’s. These days we seem to be feeding off the Americans (Yanks) all too much. I think in the future of music, we will push away from America especially with the troops being taken out of Iraqand all, so I say there will be another change in the style of music soon.
Anyway, I think I’m done for now. CYA!

Yes, well back to the part where I said I’d add onto my last blog… Well I guess it’s been more than a couple of days, but I had a headache, and so did the computer (the internet was’nt working).

So here I am period 4 on a tuesday… what do I do? Go onto my drama blog of course bcoz I don’t have a life. Jks, Jks. Anyway, I relised how other ppl in the drama class seem to record what we did in drama and I don’t, I mean I know that I don’t have to, but I think I’d like to share with you this one particular lesson that I very much enjoyed.

We were sitting in drama, played a game with cats and mice, then we got out our list of possible characters. Each person in our group chose a different character, then we developed our characters further asking a few who, what, where, when, how questions to develop the situation. I enjoyed this process. Then once we had done this, we had character auditions to see if they would fit into our performance. There was 3 characters we came up with - a radio presenter, a psychic, and a screaming beatles fan. All of these I believe can fit into our performance (but knowing me, I think that everything is possible). After which we decided to create a performance based around the beatles screaming fan.

I also forgot to mention the other ideas I had;

2. We all wear foil hats… this can be developed, but not atm because I am writing this during lunchtime now.

We can also explore music before the 20th century.

In my research on the weekend I explored musicians from the 19th century, not duliberately, but I was mucking around on encrata and found some pretty neat stuff. I shall share it with my group later… and possibly blog it.Â

I asked a few people about punks and with one person was explaining what they wore (even though I already knew) they told me that they wore safety pins, and I thought y not wear hazard pins? Because they’re stereotypical of being dangerous people.

Thanks for reading my blog, I shall speak with you soon. Ciao!

Howdy all,

I just had a few more ideas that I thought I’d like to share….

1)Â Â Â Have you ever seen little miss sunshine - It’s so sweet, I loved it so much, when you get the chance you should watch it. It has a grandfather who takes drugs and was kicked out of a nursing home because he swore to much. A depressed uncle who has tried to commit suicide. A son who wont talk until he achieves his goal of flying aircraft. A father who is trying to make everyone positive and follow his un successful ‘10 steps to success’. The mother who is trying to hold the family together. And then there is the daughter who is about to enter a little miss sunshine pagent and is probably the only successful one in the whole family. Because a down-to-earth family has entered their daughter in a pagent like this with all the snobbiness and the stereotypical rudness something is bound to happen. The reason why I’ve come up with this is that it has that individualism vs. conformity aspect in it, mainly at the end.

Brb, g2g and have a shower. I shall tend to this in a couple of days.

Hello to you all for yet another blog! (Everyone gasps with surprise).

How is everyone? I’m great, although I can just say these things, and how would u know if I was being truthful? You can just take my unsteady word for it… yes I’ve been having alot of mood swings lately.

I like my background.

YAY! I got a formal dress yesterday, and it’s just as random as me! lol.

And now for something drama related…

I like my drama ensemble group. I have a feeling that our ensemble performance could end up being very symbolic, because we have 2 literature students, and if astrology is true to itself, Ashley and I (having the same birthday) will also influence this. It’s so unlikely to have 2 students in a class of 8 with the same birthday, let alone in the same ensemble group. Our group members all seem to be on the same brain waves because little explaining has been needed while we brainstorm all our ideas. I cannot tell you what our ideas have been because the other group may be listening. But I can tell you we’ve had some excellent ideas about little men in radio’s, wops! I slipt. I’m really looking forward to performing infront of other schools, and in different places, it’s going to be so much fun. 3 of our group members are also involved with the rock eistedford, so we’ll be performing twice as much. Anyway, I was sopposed to research the radio, and try to get a sterio type for a few different radio stations… which I havn’t done. So I’ll say solong to ya all, and drop me a line if you feel the need to.

Bye,

Bye,

Tomato breath!

Hello folks, just an update from she who makes mortals tremble about today. I seriously cant keep doing this blogging thing every day, I think I’d rather keep it to once a week, but today is an exception as I havn’t had drama in 6 days. Today we had to perform the performances that we made up 6 days ago which was very challenging because of our brains being still on holiday mode from the long weekend. Our group was alright, I was probably the ugly duckling being the person saying someone elses lines. I feel uncomfortable saying all this stuff on here because I don’t really want you to read about my thoughts. If you still havn’t recieved a comment from me it’s either because I can’t/don’t know how to post comments properly or I don’t love you. That doesn’t mean that if you got a comment that I love you though. Haha, na I love yaz all. Anwho, I’m mulitasking right now between studio art homework and drama homework, so I’ll ttyl. TaTa.

This website is confusing me so much, but I guess I’ll eventually get used to it. I am in my final year of high school and we have recently just got our ensemble prescribed structure ‘Individualism vs. conformity’ I believe this topic will be alot of fun as there are many pathways we can follow, and it will be very hard to get stuck. I am enjoying this topic so far, it can be challenging at times, yet I enjoy that aspect of it.

Our stimulus piece is ‘Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2. I thought I hadn’t heard this song until we listened to it and I recognised the music. When I hear the words Pink Floyd I think of a story my mum once told me about when I was a baby. My mum was pregnant with me having a bath and listening to Pink Floyd, (She thinks it was dark side of the moon, but this particular drum beat is also in the wall) and I was moving around in her tummy to the beat of the music . Pretty absurd eh?
